Seated Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara

Figure of the bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara seated on a lotus pedestal; his right palm is upturned in the gesture of giving (varadamudrā) and his left hand holds the stem a lotus, which is broken. He is adorned in jewellery and has a cord running across his torso; an image of the Buddha Amitābha sits in the mediation posture (dhyanamudrā) in his high chignon.

观世音菩萨像，结跏趺坐于莲台之上；右手掌心向上，施予愿印（varadamudrā），左手持莲茎，莲茎已断。菩萨身饰璎珞，圣带横贯胸间，高髻中呈禅定印（dhyānamudrā）之阿弥陀佛像。
