木质表面可见白彩与彩色颜料痕迹。此像最初仅使用三种颜料着色——石青、朱砂与铜绿。工匠们并未混合颜料，而是通过施加底色来呈现更丰富的色彩层次。

White paint and coloured pigments are visible on the surface of the wood. This figure was originally painted using colours obtained from only three pigments - azurite, vermillion and copper green. Instead of mixing pigments, craftsmen produced further shades by using underpaints.
