Avalokiteshvara is the bodhisattva of compassion, a popular Buddhist deity. His left hand holds the stalk of a lotus, whose blossom appears at his shoulder. The palm of his right hand rests on his knee in the gesture of charity. Avalokiteshvara can be identified by the small seated figure of Amitabha, his parental Buddha, who is depicted on his crown.

观音菩萨是大慈大悲的菩萨，是一位广受崇信的佛教尊神。他的左手持有一支莲茎，莲花盛开于肩侧。右手掌心轻按于膝上，结施与印（施舍印）。观音菩萨可通过其宝冠上所绘的较小坐佛——即其本师阿弥陀佛——来辨认。
