Seated Bodhisattva Guanyin (Avalokiteśvara))

In front of this figure’s high, rounded topknot is a small image of Amitabha Buddha, which identifies this as the bodhisattva of compassion Avalokiteśvara (C: Guanyin). The casual pose, with an upright right knee serving as an armrest, was popular in China. This sculpture has a finely chiseled face and body retaining traits of the earlier Tang dynasty style.

坐姿观音菩萨像

此像发髻高耸，前有小型阿弥陀佛像，据此可判定其为慈悲化身的观世音菩萨（梵文：Avalokiteśvara）。这种以右膝支起、姿态闲适的坐姿在中国颇为流行。造像的面容与身躯雕琢精细，仍保留着早期唐代风格的遗韵。
